Ashok Reddy joined as Chief Executive Officer in August 2022. He has more than 20 years of experience leading teams and driving revenue for Fortune 500 and private equity-backed technology companies. He spent ten years at IBM as Group General Manager where he led the end-to-end delivery of enterprise products and platforms for a diverse portfolio of global customers. In addition, he has held leadership roles at CA Technologies and Broadcom, and worked as a special adviser to digital transformation company Digital.AI where he helped the senior leadership team devise the product and platform vision and strategy.

Áine Rafferty is the Chief Legal Officer of KX and Senior Vice President, responsible for the global legal affairs of KX. Áine joined KX in 2017 as VP of KX Legal and was appointed Chief Legal Officer and SVP in March 2022. Áine last served as Corporate Counsel and Company Secretary for a large Pharma corporation. Prior to that she worked in private practice as a Litigator. Áine also provides a pro-bono advisory role to a number of scaling SMEs. Áine has over 15 years’ experience as a trusted legal advisor to board level and senior executives. She brings a depth of expertise across a range of legal disciplines and of driving legal teams to success.

Áine serves on the Society for Computers of Law Cloud Committee and was recently appointed the rare status of Legal Master by the NI Law Society in April 2022. Áine was shortlisted for “General Counsel of the Year” at the British Legal Awards in 2022 and also led the team that was a Finalist for “Global In-House Team Of The Year” 2022 at The Lawyer Europe. Áine graduated with a First Class Honours LLB and obtained her Solicitor qualifications from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queens University Belfast and holds accreditations from Harvard Business School.

Ryan is the CFO of KX Systems, in addition to his role as CFO of KX’s parent company, First Derivatives. Ryan was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Independent News & Media plc and at OVO Energy Retail, having spent the early part of his career in senior finance roles at Tesco, including Group Finance Director, Europe.

Before coming to KX in 2023 to oversee Go-To-Market operations, John Hoffman served as Head of Sales for Data and Analytics for Google. John joined Google through the acquisition of Looker and played an integral role in expanding the market positioning of its data and analytics business and supporting the integration with the Google Cloud organization. He has over 25 years of experience in the enterprise software industry, including leadership roles in both start-up organizations and multi-billion-dollar corporations.

Paul is an experienced and successful Company Executive with over 15 years of senior management experience in both private and public multi-national tech companies. He is responsible for KX’s technology vision and roadmap, delivering its product strategy across all industry verticals. Paul is passionate about using technology to generate value and helping clients to achieve their business objectives. He was formally the Communication Sector Leader (Telco, Media & Entertainment and Utilities) for IBM’s Analytics Solutions globally. Prior to IBM, Paul was CTO of TheNowFactory – an awarding winning mobile network analytics company which was sold to IBM in 2013, 6.5 years after startup. Before IBM, Paul worked in various engineering roles in Openet and Logica. He holds a BSC in Electronic Eng and an MBA from Smurfit Business School.

As Chief Growth Officer, James is responsible for driving strategic and operational initiatives to accelerate KX’s growth and for building the KX developer and user community across the world. He joined First Derivatives in 2009 and spent several years building front office trading and analytics platforms, using KX technology, for many of the world’s largest financial institutions. He was subsequently appointed to a number of leadership positions, including CTO, and led the global expansion of the product and solution engineering teams through a combination of organic growth and the integration of strategic acquisitions. He holds an MSc in Quantitative Finance from University College Dublin.

After spending the 90s in ground-breaking, real-time telecoms software development at Alcatel, in 2002 Charles specialized in applying KX technology at the Equity Derivatives Group in J.P.Morgan, followed by Unicredit and Deutsche Bank. He joined KX as CTO in 2008, where he has since led the team that develops and supports the ultra-fast database, kdb+. As of 2021, Charles continues as Chief Scientist, responsible for the research initiatives that help KX retain its position as the leader of time series streaming analytics.

Lauren joined KX in July 2021 as VP of Human Resources and was promoted to SVP in March 2022. Lauren is a hands-on leader, actively engaged in driving the people strategy to retain and attract the industries best talent in support of the overall business plan. Lauren is a seasoned leader having worked in the software industry for over 10 years and has held several human resources and talent acquisition roles at several high-growth businesses including TIBCO, Information Builders and [m]Platform. Lauren holds a Bachelor’s degree and is a Certified Professional in Human Resources.

Gerry is an innovative, technology executive with over twenty years of enterprise software and financial services experience. He was the Founder/Co-Founder of four technology companies each with a successful onward sale. His career spans Tibco, NEON, MSB, Thompson Reuters, Fundclear and he has acted as advisor to IONA, Objectstore, Wombat and the NYSE. Gerry has a unique knowledge mixture of the technology markets with strong industry connections, deep knowledge of, management, sales, marketing, technology and capital markets trading. Global work experience split between London, New York and California. He is a highly motivated entrepreneurial background with a complete understanding of running a focused organization delivering technology solutions.

Paul joined KX in 2017 and has more than 25 years of experience in providing specialist advice on Partnerships, Alliances and corporate structures. Prior to joining KX, Paul spent much of his career at KPMG Ireland, rising to become head of its corporate finance business and responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business unit and leading a large team of corporate finance professionals. A trained accountant, Paul has spent the first 3 years at KX establishing KX Ventures – creating a portfolio of 20 venture-backed KX companies. Since 2020 he has been Head of Partnerships and Strategic Alliances for KX globally, successfully originating and developing meaningful KX partnerships with a focus on Cloud Vendors, Corporate Development Partners, ISVs, SIs, Data Vendors and hardware providers. He holds a BSc in Accounting (Queens University Belfast) and an MBA (University of Ulster, Jordanstown).

Victoria has held several roles within the firm, since joining in 1998, including Financial Engineer managing several global accounts and working with many of the world’s leading banking institutions. Now Head of Customer Relations, Victoria continues to play a key role in the company’s growth. Victoria holds an Engineering degree and an MBA from Queens University Belfast.

Since joining First Derivatives as a software engineer in 2009, Conor has worked in many countries building bespoke trading and risk systems for some of the world’s leading financial institutions. After moving into business development and operations, Conor is now Head of Customer Support & Services. During his time with FD, Conor has been a recipient of the Irish Echo’s “40-under-40” award and represented Ireland at the World Economic Forum. Conor holds a BSc. in Financial, Mathematical and Actuarial Sciences from University College Cork and a MSc. in Computational Finance from the University of Limerick.
